Publication of the first two volumes of thEe TerraWater Institute’s “STEPs at the heart of the energy transition” report

October 2025
In its research into the conditions for the success of the energy transition, the TerraWater Institute has highlighted the key role of WWTPs in their contribution to the electricity system as well as their contribution to the hydrological system.
It is because resorting to this solution is both an opportunity and a responsibility that the TerraWater Institute proposes in its report “STPs at the heart of the energy transition” avenues that can be taken up by those for whom the interests of the territories prevail.
The second volume, “Pyrenees,” addresses what this young, 40-million-year-old mountain range can still contribute to the future by offering part of its potential to a sustainable energy transition that respects the environment and the values of the people who live there.
